General Advice :

To progress in English, pupils should get in the habit of reading regularly : articles, stories, novels, travel writing, etc.

You might enjoy Vocable, a magazine of newspaper articles from the English language press, such as The Guardian and The New York Times. Each article is accompanied by a full glossary.  It is available through subscribing on-line.

All pupils should have a combined Dictionary & Thesaurus at home.

Pupils (already in SIS) with an average of 12 or under in English will also have to do some language work over the summer. Those families concerned will be receiving letters after the  'conseils de classe of the 2nd semester', with specific recommendations.

New pupils may wish to consult the website over the summer to brush up on your grammar, if necessary.

Wishing you an enjoyable summer!
