Window into the Classroom

with Mrs. May in History-Geography class

Conor Short, a professional actor and Globe education practitioner, leading workshop with students in Mrs. Crétaigne's Chaville classes based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Macbeth and Richard III.

This week Conor Short, Globe practitioner and professional actor, visited some of our collège and lycée classes to workshop some Shakespeare texts. Here are Miss Daly’s 3e8 in the middle of practising the opening lines Much Ado About Nothing, namely the battle of wit between Benedict and Beatrice.

Les élèves dans les classes de Mme Baron ont fait des projets différents autour de la pièce de théâtre de la section germanophone.

Working on the importance of setting in Austen's Sense and Sensibility, Miss Daly’s 1ère class made estate-agent style adverts to sell their literary location. From the grand Norland mansion in Sussex to the high society circles of London, the students had to describe their property (using quotations), recap the events that take place there and consider its significance in the story.
