Summer Fair 2019

Wednesday, June 19th

There were a lot of furrowed brows on Tuesday night as the weather report refused to budge from its prediction of thunderstorms to sun, but nothing stands in the way of a SIS Summer Fair: we had clouds-big ones; we had wind-very blustery, but, no rain! Someone even broke out the suntan cream for a brief moment.

There was running (even by the parents!); there was tugging; there was singing; there was chopping and sticking; there were prizes and there were fond farewells and much, much more. All this done with an absolute minimum of garbage thanks to Mr. Tidmarsh’s brilliant initiative to ask families to bring a cup or rent one. A big thank you to all the staff, children and parents for their enthusiastic participation and infectious enjoyment.
